If you’re anything like me, you’ve endured your fair share of brow woes (over tweezing, waxing them off…). But there’s help. Have you heard about this new trend in eyebrow shaping called Microblading? Interestingly enough, the name really isn’t that intuitive – because it’s actually a solution for filling in gaps, solving an over-plucking issue and really adding small strokes that look like real hairs. Sounds incredible, right?
In a recent InStyle article, an expert and trainer at New York’s Eye Design shared what microblading is all about. “Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows.” She also explained, “for those who just want to add a slight arch are also great candidates, and the results are a natural, undetectable fringe.” (via InStyle)
We all know how important our eyebrows are for shaping the face, and a well-groomed brow is one of the best ways to step up your look and feel incredibly polished. But when you also find yourself wanting to add an arch or even thicken them up, microblading just might be the perfect solution for you. Some have compared microblading to tattooing, but it turns out it’s actually a bit different.
“During the microblading process we use a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one. The first hour we’re drawing the shape in with removable pencil. That’s the longest part and the most important step. During this time, the best customized shape for every client is chosen. It’s not a rushed procedure, it cannot be done in an hour.” (via InStyle)

A process that could be considered semi-permanent, it starts to fade after about three years – it’s well worth the time and the investment, running on average at about $800. The best part is – there’s no special treatment or care necessary, it’s relatively painless and you walk out the door with an absolutely rockin’ set of brows.
