Emma Roberts always seems to look perfectly on point. From her hair, down to her shoes. She’s got style and isn’t afraid to play with beauty, which is why I love her style and always feature her on this blog. Recently, Emma was spotted at a Coach event with some tousled locks and a subtle braid. Check her hair out below!

If you love this look as much as I do, you’re in luck! I got together with one of Miami’s premiere hair and makeup gurus, Jillian Cabezaas to give you all the tips you need to recreate this gorgeous hairstyle at home. Check out Jillian’s helpful tips below!
- Split hair down the middle and get a 1inch curling wand. To create soft waves you would get a 2 inch section of hair and wrap the hair around the wand. The trick is to wrap the hair starting from about 5-6 fingers from the scalp and leave about 1 inch or 1 inch and 1/2 of your ends out. (hold for about 7-10 sec.)
- Once the waves are done, grab a 1 inch section of hair on the right side of the middle parting. This section should be from the front of your hairline to about where your ear ends.
- Time to start that tiny fish tail braid that Emma’s got! Split this section in half, then separate a half inch piece from the outside of the left section. Pull this piece over to the right side.
- Next, separate a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the right section and bring it over to the left side.
- Repeat steps 3-4 until you get to the end of your hair.
- Finish is off with either a clear elastic or a black little rubber band.
Here’s a helpful tutorial to complete your own fish tail in case you need some visual instruction:
