Stefani also shows off a flawless makeup look in the video, complete with some strong liquid liner and nude lips.
Needless to say, she looks gorgeous. Lucky for you, you can get this look at home with my helpful tips. Read on to get Stefani’s makeup look from ‘Misery’.
Start off this makeup look with some moisturizer as a base. Next, use a face primer to keep your face makeup looking as fresh and flawless as Gwen’s. Move on to a matte foundation to keep the shine at bay. I suggest applying your foundation with a damp blending sponge.
This is a strong look, so I suggest highlighting and contouring with some creme products. Apply the lightest color underneath your eyes, on your cheek bones, on top of the nose and chin to brighten up the face. Add your darkest creme shade in the hollows of your cheeks and anywhere else you see fit. Be sure to blend it all in with your sponge. Add a light powder to set your foundation and contour in place.
Next, use a brow pencil to fill in your brows. As this is a liner-heavy look, be sure to apply an eyeshadow primer to keep everything in place. After, use a fluffy brush and light nude color to define your crease. Use another brush to apply a subtle highlight shade onto the lids, crease and inner corners. Finally, it’s time for liner. I suggest that you use Motives Mineral Gel Liner with a thin brush. To create this liner look, you want something that will go on smooth so gel liner is definitely the way to go.
Apply a full set of lashes once your liner is set and in place. Before applying your mascara, use a white kohl liner like Motives Khol Eyeliner in Angel. This will help to open up your eyes and make them look fuller. Lastly, apply your favorite black mascara.
Use a nude lip liner to define your lips before going in with a nude gloss. Keep your cheeks bare! Don’t even add a shimmery highlight. This look is meant to be about the lips and eyes. Hope you love this look as much as I do! Be sure to let me know if you try it at home and check out Gwen Stefani’s new music video for ‘Misery’ below.
