I had a chance to speak to Joey recently and talk to him about Becky’s top red carpet looks while on the Power Rangers press tour. According to Joey, her looks were all about staying true to her character in the film, Trini, the yellow Power Ranger.
“We were initially inspired by the color yellow due to her character in the film and keeping Becky true to her brand. Becky’s style is very fun and relatable with a hint of elegance.”
Joey says that her style is all about being comfortable, which is something I can definitely relate to.
“When styling Becky, I am captivated by the range of styles she can pull off. She’s very relatable in a sense of comfortability in what she is wearing but also loves a chic moment.”

During the press tour he and Becky wanted her looks to stay true to her personality, while adding some high fashion into the mix. It definitely worked!
“In general we like to find new ways to make Becky fashion forward and have her personality speak through her fashion.”
I especially loved her red carpet look. That Maria Lucia Hahan dress was killer, and Joey couldn’t help but agree!
“For the red carpet, I wanted to enhance her best features and give her a ‘WOW’ moment. For me, I think she has an amazing collarbone, so I knew this dress had to be low cut in the front. What I loved about this Maria Lucia Hohan dress was the slit in the front that allowed her leg to peak out and lengthen her.”

It’s no secret that Becky can pull off yellow. With the help of Joey, each of her outfits looked great against her skin tone, which is why I wanted to ask Joey how to pull off this color on the daily. His advice is to play with yellow hues until your find a shade that matches your own unique skin tone!
“The shade of yellow is very important. Find the kind of yellow that compliments your skintone. Also find pieces that have interesting cuts, it will help eleavate the color. And lastly be confident in yellow. It can be a tough color, but if you wear in like a million bucks, you’ll definitelty stand out.”
