Everywhere you look, there are companies developing more socially conscious practices. Last month, Miami welcomed its first eco-friendly bridal jewelry boutique, Ring Finger Studio. How do you make engagement rings “green?” Well, all of Ring Finger Studio’s custom-designed engagement rings and wedding bands utilize 100% recycled precious metals and conflict free diamonds.
Founder/ designer Tara Rose, conceptualized Ring Finger Studio when realizing that every aspect of a wedding had become so specialized, but everyone was still going to a regular jewelry store for an engagement ring and weddings bands. Raised in the jewelry industry and with an impressive seventeen years of experience in jewelry making and diamond grading, Tara decided it was time to bring the “old-school” mentalities of jewelry craftsmanship back to the forefront. “I wanted to create a unique setting for my clientele unlike any other jewelry store where I’m not creating my vision and trying to simply push a sale.I want to take the time to educate my clients and to get acquainted with them. Ultimately my purpose is to interpret their vision, personal style and story into an heirloom engagement ring or wedding band,” says Rose.
Ring Finger Studio takes great pride in being “green.” Their collections are designed with recycled metals that lessen the demand for mining, which is responsible for many harmful environmental effects on our planet. In addition, they solely utilize conflict free diamonds,
which have not funded any wars or spurred any human rights violations. They are directly obtained from the Kimberley Process and System of Warranties compliant importers. Most importantly Ring Finger Studio’s diamonds are available with a unique laser inscribed serial number along the girdle of the diamonds to identify your diamond and prevent it from being switched.
I hope this adorable business inspires you to find a way to be eco-friendly when it comes to your own business.
xoxo,
Loren
