It’s a short week. So what are you going to do with those
extra two days?! I bet many of you have a long list of things to do that you
haven’t gotten around to. Well, here’s a thought: how about taking those two
days to relax and take a mini vacation?
Gasp! Did I just say to take some downtime? The same way you
schedule appointments and to-dos on your calendar, you have to schedule some
time to relax. If we never take the time to shut down, we’ll never be able to
power up. Taking a few days off is absolutely necessary to get the creative
juices flowing again. We’ve all experienced getting sick after a long stressful
month. Then we find ourselves in bed for three days without being able to do
anything. What a waste, right? It’s better to prevent burnout by giving your
body some relax time. Even if it’s just a few hours at the end of the day where
you do nothing. You have to pencil it in.
Ask yourself what relaxing means to you? Can you give yourself
those two days this week to relax? I think you can. And you’ll be surprised at
the rewards.
