While you’re busy planning for your several holiday parties and writing all those cards, don’t forget to honor your clients, as well. I’ve talked about the importance of sending thank-you notes before, but the holidays are an especially good time to show your appreciation. Take advantage of this opportunity to show your love.
They’ve supported you all year. Why not send your most valued customers and vendors a small token of your appreciation? It’s best to send them a thoughtful gift. Something that is enjoyable and useful. Perhaps a delicious bottle of wine or a candle with your own personal label? Don’t send anything that is so covered in your brand that they’ll never be able to use. You know those tacky gift items I’m talking about! Make it tasteful.
And add a personal thank-you note. If you take the time out to show your business contacts you care, they’re sure to show loyalty towards your brand when the time comes.
I also like to include the entire company in on the fun. You can have your department sign the car or send a photo of all of you. Let the gift receiver know you’re real people by adding these persona touches.
You know your clients/contacts best. So go ahead and be creative. But don’t forget to show you care. They will appreciate you taking the time out and will remember your effort. And that’s how you build relationships and brand
loyalty.
