Has your email been as slow as mine these last few days? It’s amazing, really. The holiday season is really the only time of year when people truly take a break. Which means even the workaholics have to take a break. Well, not entirely.
So you’re forced into downtime, but you still want to be productive? Well, this time of the year is the best time to catch up on the things you’ve been putting off all year like, ahem, filing.
Here’s a few suggestions to help keep your productivity up, and to help give you a head start this New Year.
Update Your Contacts
You look at that stack of business cards every day, don’t you? And every day you tell yourself you’re going to input the info into your contacts, but you never get around to it. Take advantage and put those in. If you’re really ambitious, you can even make groups so when you can cater your emails to a specific group of people.
File and De-clutter
After you get pass the business cards, take a look at the random piles of paper and things on your desk. Sort through them and either file them away or toss! The same goes for your email.
Get Started on that Passion Project
Have you been putting off some project because of lack of time? Now is your chance! Don’t delay. bTake these few days and get it started, or at least revisit the idea.
What productive things do you like to do on your downtime?
