3 Working Habits You’ll Want to Practice

With the New Year come new goals.  Maybe one of those goals
is to continue to move up in your company and become an invaluable asset?  If
so, here are a few tips to help you be successful.

  1. Be an Expert

We all have strengths. Maybe you’re
really good with social media, or a great writer? Whatever it may be, make your
expertise known. Bring something to the table.

  1. Take the Lead

When your boss is looking for a
volunteer to take on a new project, be that volunteer. Of course, make sure you
feel comfortable with the task. But don’t be afraid to lead!

  1. Follow Up

I’ve talked about the importance of
following up before. But just in case you missed it, here it is again. If
you’re working on a long-term assignment, it is to your advantage to let your
boss know every once in a while of the status. Be cautious of becoming
annoying. You want to only take 60-90 seconds of their time if you’re popping
in the office. Or a quick note at the end of the week will work, too.
