Listen to your bodies. We are all different and all need
different things. We must be in touch with what our bodies need. For example,
let’s say your digestive system is all out of whack. Don’t numb the situation
with different meds. Really listen to what your body is telling you. It’s
telling you that there is something funky entering or going on in your body.
Find the problem and find a solution that cures it. Don’t just add a BandAid.
Most of our bodies’ issues can be cure by nourishing it
correctly. That means eating things that your body truly needs to function.
From veggies to supplements, make sure you’re using the ritual of eating as a
way to honor your body and not to simply indulge. Your body does not need that
sixth chocolate chip cookie to function properly, but it could use that extra
dose of Omega 3.
Another way to honor your body is by moving it. Like an
unused car, bodies that sit around all day and never partake in some moment
eventually go bad. Even if you don’t have time to heavily workout every day, 30
minutes of stretching will do it well.
You and your body have a relationship. It gives you a lot
all day; you must give back. If it feels achy, tired, hungry, etc., make sure
you to pay attention to the warning signs and dig a little deeper. Like any
relationship, there’s a lot of love needed.
