How exciting! It sounds like the new female faces of daytime tv are actually women we know and love from years past. I get so excited every fall to see the all the new shows – day and night. This fall, daytime tv is getting a makeover with Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and Trisha Goddard all launching brand new shows. Katie Couric
Having hosted Today for 15 years, Katie Couric is known as one of the world’s most successful and loved television news anchors. She is a mom, author and was the first female solo news anchor of the CBS Evening News. Her new show, Katie, airs September 10th on Disney-ABC Domestic TV and will cover everything from parenting to fashion.
Trisha Goddard
Known for her many guest appearances on Maury, Trisha specializes in conflict-resolution. She has hosted multiple shows in Australia and was even Australia’s first African-American anchorwoman. She has shared her trials with Breast Cancer in her autobiography and will cover similarly tough topics on her new show. She is a straight shooter and viewers can expect a no excuses approach to life. Trisha’s new show airs September 17th on NBC Universal.
The Ricki Lake Show
Ricki is no stranger to daytime television, hosting he own show for years – she was even nominated for an Emmy! She is a role model for women and moms, dealing with her own struggles with weight, finding her voice as a mom and going public with the troubles of her childhood. This show will talk parenting, beauty, health and everything in between. It airs September 10th on Twentieth Television.
