I watched the recent presidential debate and took in as much as I possibly could. Did you? As women, it’s so important to take an active role in politics. Knowing what’s happening in the world around us is a key component in having a say in the rights of our bodies and our futures. By taking a stance on political issues and using your voice to express your opinion, you are exercising your rights!
Are You Watching the Presidential Debates?
Understanding complex politics may not be for you, and that is okay. But having a general grasp on the issues that affect you directly makes you an informed consumer, citizen and potentially a clear voice for women everywhere. With so many programs and issues hanging in the balance, it’s more important than ever to have knowledge and an opinion on how these things will effect you as a woman. Watching the presidential debates is a great way to learn more and hear from both Obama and Romney at once.
I urge you to empower yourself by tuning in to the presidential debates and gaining as much as you can from them before Election Day. We will have an incredible opportunity to be active participants in the politics of our nation on November 6th! There are 3 more presidential debates to come (the VP debate is tonight) – and a very important election to follow. Will you be sure to educate yourself and watch the next presidential debate? What would you like to see addressed during the next presidential debates?
