9 Steps to A Healthier Lifestyle

Setting your mind on achieving a daily routine for a healthy lifestyle is the first step to making it happen. Step #2: you need a plan! Without a routine for a healthy lifestyle, it will be easy to get off track. By making a plan and creating a system for health, you will do great and feel even better! Here are my tips for what to include in your daily routine for a healthy lifestyle below.

9 Steps to A Healthier Lifestyle

  1. Get up nice and early. (That means go to bed early too!)
  2. Incorporate exercise into your morning routine. Even just a short walk to get some fresh air will help kickstart your day.
  3. Stretch. Even if your morning exercise is as simple as a walk, take some time to stretch it out.
  4. Eat a healthy breakfast. Try egg whites and a toasted English muffin or whole grain cereal and a serving of Greek yogurt. (don’t forget OPC-3!)
  5. Plan your day to incorporate at least 8 glasses of water.
  6. Plan your snacks for the day. Think fruits, veggies and good sources of protein like almonds or yogurt.
  7. Make the right choices at lunch. (You know what I’m talking about!) Choose salad, light soup or a sandwich on whole grain bread. Eat a lunch that makes you feel good.
  8. Go for a healthy dinner of veggies and lean protein. Follow it up with an after dinner family walk. It will feel so good.
  9. Relax and spend time with your family before heading to bed.
