1. Take a Mini-Me-Retreat

Stress levels can be at an all time high this time of year. The holiday craze can catch up to us really fast, especially when we forget to practice self-care. When I feel anxious and stressed out, I stop to take a mini-me-retreat. You can take a mini-me-retreat by simply doing something you love everyday. Whether it is a hot bath, a nature walk or a warm cup of gingerbread chai tea. Treat yourself with compassion and kindness this holiday season and you will feel more connected in no time.

2. Let Go of the “When I get” Syndrome

Do you ever say, when I get X, Y or Z, then I will be happy?  When the holidays are over then I will work on losing weight, maybe this Christmas he will finally propose and then I can be happy. The case of the “when I get” and “when I have” then I will be happy is a classic holiday blunder. Instead of looking for happiness in a future situation, goal weight, gift or achievement, look inside and see your inner gifts. Discover the joy inside of you for true happiness.

3. Strip Down

This season you can declutter your mind by decluttering your space. Take an afternoon to deep clean your home and you will feel better. When we remove items that we no longer use or want, we send a message to the universe that we don’t want unwanted things in our lives. Clearing out space creates more room for new ideas and dreams. Your stress level is directly related to the amount of stuff piling in on you. If you are overwhelmed at work, at home or in a relationship, simply deep clean the nooks and crannies for a fresh start.
