Mario Batali’s Food and Drink Trends for 2013
- Wild fish caught on the line. Mario says fish like walleye and perch will make an appearance in 2013.
- Crunchy veggies. Things like broccoli, beet greens and kohlrabi, cooked and raw, will be making their way to plates this year.
- Anything home-cooked and hand-made. No more processed foods! Home-made breads, salami and jam will be the rage.
- Specialty wine.
