Revenge is one of the hottest shows on television right now and it’s star Emily VanCamp looks fresh and gorgeous for Fashion Magazine’s April 2013 issue! The Port Perry, Ontario native struck a pose in Gucci for the cover of Canada’s number one fashion and beauty resource and also shared her thoughts on Hollywood, babies and politics north of the border in the exclusive interview. - On aging in Hollywood: “How can you act if your face is frozen? I don’t understand it. I find it really tragic and sad that women feel that they can’t age and still work in film. Some of my favourite women I like to watch on screen are the ones that allow themselves to age gracefully. They play women that are around the same age and they have no shame in it.”
- On babies: “I have moments when I get baby fever and I think, ‘Why don’t I have a dozen of these now? I’ve always had a maternal sense, and have dreamt about having children more than getting married and having the perfect wedding; the show certainly keeps me up all night and teaches me what it feels like to have sleep deprivation. So in that sense, Revenge is my baby.”
- On politics: “The fact that we’re still talking about women’s reproductive rights, and that gay men and women cannot get married here [in the US], is baffling. I have such a huge issue with it. I really appreciate our country, because these things aren’t issues in Canada, and they’re massive issues here. I honestly feel like we are moving back to the dark ages. Government should be talking about gun laws and fixing the economy or things that are failing within the system.”
