As winter comes to a close and the cold weather starts to turn (hopefully soon!), we all start to get a little antsy and cooped up. It’s completely natural to get a little pep in your step and feel energized to sort through your junk, throw open all the windows and start spring cleaning. But what about a little spring cleaning for the soul? After the long winter, it is time for a change. There is no better feeling than shedding the layers of baggage and starting with a clean slate. Here’s a few ideas to help get you started on the road to feeling renewed.

  1. Give the good a little attention. Rather than focusing on all the things that need work, like in your relationship, for example. Focus on the good.
  2. Take responsibility for your actions. Did you pack on a couple of extra pound this winter? Or lose your edge at the gym? It’s ok – it’s just time to get back in the game. Recognize where you let things slip and then turn it around.
  3. Get social. Seriously – during the long winter, we tend to stay in and spend a little too much time in front of the tv. Get motivated to round up your girls (or guys) and go have some fun!
  4. Step up your self-confidence. It’s time to remind yourself just how great you are. Get outside, get some sun and perk up!
  5. Review your resolutions. Check in on your progress with the goals you made at the start of 2013.
