There are moments in our lives that just don’t to have a
place in our big picture. “Why am I being let go of my job when all I really
saw for my future was growing in this company?”
It’s easy to get caught up in the drama and fixating on a
stage of our lives that brings unexpected change. “Why is this happening?”
“What am I going to do?” These are the times when we need to focus on the big
picture.
It’s important to remember that our lives fluctuate from
stable to not-so-stable, but that doesn’t mean we need to panic. Change is
scary, but it only means our lives are in flux. Moving from one stage to
another is part of the process. We must not loose focus of our big picture.
These are just small stages that are taking us there. When these changes occur,
take advantage and make sure you’re directing your life in the direction you
want it be in. This might be a really subtle step or a large courageous step.
It doesn’t matter the size. What is important is to acknowledge and accept the
state of flux.
The process will be much easier when you come to terms with
it. Don’t resist. Focus on what you want to come out of this and follow the
path. You may even enjoy the journey!
