The last time anyone heard from Amanda Berry was 10 years ago when she left her job at Burger King the night before her 17th birthday. Amanda escaped yesterday from the home of Ariel Castro, along with her daughter who was born in captivity. The two other victims, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, were also rescued.
Amanda Berry‘s sister Beth agreed to give a statement to the press at her home in Ohio, which is covered with flowers and welcome home signs. Clearly emotional, Beth thanked everyone for their support and requested that the public honor the family’s need for privacy.
This is truly a miracle for all four survivors and their story gives hope to others who are suffering from the loss of missing family members.
