Summer is the perfect opportunity to experiment with new trends, accessories, sunglasses, colors…for me, it’s all about trying out new prints and mixing pieces from other seasons to match the weather now. When warmer seasons come around, purchasing a few staples that will take you through this season is essential, but your other pieces from other seasons come into use just as easily. When you are on a budget, shopping for summer staples isn’t as hard or cost worthy as it seems.
Lately, overalls have been on my radar. They are vintage but modern and super simplistic: easy to wear with anything and summer weather approved. Denim itself is a timeless trend, but overalls come back refined and sexier every season. Designers add studs, change the colors, styles and find ways to reinvent this look. The age range is huge for people interested in wearing overalls, but you can find them in dark washes, lighter washes, shorts, pants, and many more styles. I wear mine with a loose top underneath, white Converse and a pair of Ray-Ban Clubmasters for an effortless and street style look, but mixing up different pieces to rock yours the right way is insanely easy. Dress them up with slingbacks and a blazer and wear them to dinner!
Whether overalls are going to be worn at the beach or to school, they are a summer staple affordable enough and cool enough to rock anywhere on your summer agenda.
Purchase them at Zara, Bloomingdales, Nasty Gal, and tons of other retailers!
