Avocado oil is known to soothe the skin; now research shows a type of fat derived from avocados can reserve sun damage.Skin treated with the substance following UV exposure had significant reductions in sunburned cells and inflammation, as well as enhanced DNA repair compared with untreated skin, although the extract didn’t act as sunscreen, according to a study published in the journal Archives of Dermatological research.Running regular avocado on the face is great for moisturizing, but it probably won’t provide enough of the active command to repair UV damage.In order to get the real activity of the compound, you need a higher amount than you can find in one avocado.
