A photo of a Taco Bell employee licking a large stack of shells while on the job at one of the franchises has gone viral, causing a huge uproar in the online space. According to Mashable, two employees have now been fired after the image made its way to the company’s Facebook page.
The fast food giant released a statement claiming the taco shells were in the process of being thrown out and “confirmed that the shells were never served to customers.”
This is just one more example of why we need to take our social media profiles more seriously. The damage has been done, both to Taco Bell‘s brand and to the boy who’s face is forever going to be associated with this:
