Have you heard about this online dating site called BeautifulPeople.com? It’s recently sparked some press (as well as some haters) because in order to join, you have to be beautiful! They even have “beauty screeners” to decide if applicants should make the cut.
According to sources, BeautifulPeople.com is about to expand its services to include recruitment. And you know what that means? They’ll help recruit a staff for employers who only want attractive employees. The free service allows employers to create online profiles, while jobseekers will have the option to submit resumes directly.
New Job Website: Only Attractive Employees Need Apply?
In a recent interview with Mashable, the Managing Director of BeautifulPeople.com said, “An honest employer will tell you that it pays to hire good-looking staff. Attractive people tend to make a better first impression on clients, win more business and earn more.”
While it may be true that there are companies out there that believe in only hiring attractive people to represent their brand, it’s also true that there are countless companies who hire qualified people to get the job done. On the heels of the Abercrombie & Fitch CEO making headlines for admitting that they target a particular segment of customers, BeautifulPeople.com makes it clear that in today’s society, looks seem to matter more than we thought.
