How Many Calories Are You Sipping?

The air is beginning to cool down, a perfect time to enjoy a breezy cocktail. While we all deserve a little treat from time to time, how many calories is treat costing you?

We got a hold of the people at Grey Goose and asked them to create cocktails that were under 200 calories (yes, cocktails can have more than 200 calories!). Here are some sweet indulgences that won’t put you over the edge.

GREY GOOSE® Le Citron Lemongrass

This cocktail keeps things light and airy by infusing lime leaves and lemongrass.

1 1/2 parts GREY GOOSE® Le Citron Flavored Vodka

1/2 part agave nectar

1/2 part lime juice

1 tsp kaffir lime leaves, thinly sliced

1 tsp lemongrass, thinly sliced

2 – 3 parts Q Tonic Water

In a cocktail shaker, place the lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves, muddle well. Add ice and remaining ingredients, shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted and beaded with sweat. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with fresh mint.

GREY GOOSE® La Poire Camellia

An elegant cocktail with minimal yet innovative ingredients that mesh together perfectly.

1 1/2 parts GREY GOOSE® La Poire Flavored Vodka

3 parts Kombucha

3/4 parts agave nectar (a flavorful, low calorie sweetener
that has low glycemic index)

1 Meyer lemon, quartered

In a cocktail shaker, place the Meyer lemon and agave, muddle well. Add ice and the remaining ingredients and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted and beaded with sweat. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with fresh mint.

GREY GOOSE® Le Citron Summer’s Peak

1 1/2 parts GREY GOOSE® Le Citron Flavored Vodka

1/2 part fresh lemon juice

2 parts tonic water (mixologist Nick Mautone suggests a naturally sweetened tonic such as Q Water, containing 60% fewer calories than regular tonic)

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add first four ingredients. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted and beaded with sweat. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice. Top with Q Tonic water, stir gently and garnish with fresh mint.
