Oprah. Bill Gates. Hillary Clinton. These are all people who
have achieved greatness. When we look at them now, their status seems so hard
to achieve. It’s easy to forget that they weren’t born into greatness. They all
took a road to get there.
If you are shooting for greatness, (which I’m sure most of
you are because you’re reading this blog post!) know that there is a journey
you have to take. There will be roadblocks. And it’s easy to get caught up
hiccups: “Why did this job not work out?” “Why do none of these guys I date
work out?” The answer is: because you’re searching for greatness.
It’s very easy to be mediocre. It’s very easy to settle for
something that is comfortable. Greatness takes courage, determination and faith.
I like to think that when things don’t work out as plan,
it’s because there is something even better out there waiting for me:
greatness. What I thought I wanted might have been ok, but there is something
out there so great that I didn’t know existed. I trust that The Universe will
always give me what is great and nothing less.
So if you ever feel discouraged, like things are just not
working out for you, know that you are simply on the road to greatness. Things
seem like they’re falling apart only to bring you something very special. Trust
the path and you’ll reach your destination sooner than you thought.
