Recently Olivia Wilde wrote a great article for Glamour Magazine sharing her Do’s and Don’ts of Turning 30. Have you read it? She’s so beautiful and put together – I have always loved her – and I thought it was fun to read an article from the actor herself. (She also really does have some excellent advice.)Here are some of my favorite highlights from Olivia’s tips – you can check out the full article here.

Olivia Wilde Shares Her Tips for Turning 30
- On what you’ve accomplished by 30: DON’T freak out about all the brilliant people who accomplished more than you by 30 – what you achieve is far less important than what kind of human being you are.
- On having children: DON’T feel pressured to pop out kids. Wait for the right partner, and make sure you’re where you want to be in life before picking neighborhoods based on school districts.
- On expanding your horizons: DO learn a new skill. I started stand-up paddle boarding at 29 and consider it my baby step toward becoming a badass 30-something semipro surf goddess (as long as the sharks go vegan).
- On rushing into marriage because of your age: DON’T propose to the next guy you meet just because you worry he’ll be your last chance at lifelong companionship. The danger with “husband hunting” is you start to see every date as a job interview; it clouds your ability to get to know someone.
