Holiday Travel 101: 8 Tips for Surviving the Airport

  1. Want to keep your shoes and belt on? Apply for TSA pre-check and avoid long lines and lots of hassle.
  2. Check in online. Skip the long lines and head straight to security.
  3. Be prepared for security. Have your liquids separated, your laptop out and your belt off.
  4. Download an app like GateGuru to help you navigate airports during your travel.
  5. Carry on. Rather than having to deal with baggage claim – pack light and carry it on.
  6. Bring your own snacks. Having everything you need will give you time to settle in at your gate. (and will save on unnecessary calories)
  7. Skip the paper tickets and upload your boarding pass to your phone.
  8. Try to get a seat toward the front of the plane. This will help get you off the plane quickly at your next destination. (especially helpful if you have a tight connection!)

How about you? Got any tricks up your sleeve for staying calm at the airport during this busy travel season?
