Kate Beckinsale had one of my favorite hairstyles from last night’s Golden Globes and we’ve got the scoop from her stylist Sascha Breuer on how to copy it at home! He opted for a sexy, edgy updo to complement the presenter’s Zuhair Murad gown and I love how she looked effortlessly sexy on the red carpet – follow Breuer’s tutorial below to try it out for yourself.

“With her wholesome, English rose good looks, Kate can get away with quite a bit of edginess in her hairstyle, so we went with a punk-inspired diva look that’s a bit different from her usual soft flowing waves.”
- Spray damp roots with Moroccanoil Root Boost
- Blow dry your hair using a skeleton brush and use your fingers to create texture and additional volume
- After drying, separate your strands into a horseshoe shaped section (the part between both your temples and crown) and clip the top part
- Pull your bottom section of hair into a low side pony and secure with an elastic. Coil and wrap the ponytail into a messy bun and secure it with bobby pins
- Next move on to the top section of hair and backcomb your roots using a teasing brush for maximum volume
- Secure the top section into the existing, loose bun with bobby pins
- Mist with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray and finish the final look with a few more pins if needed!
