Have you heard about the latest design collaboration between Target and some of Pinterest’s top pinners? It’s super exciting and such a smart idea. Joining forces with Target to launch exclusive party-planning collections, the designers are all well-known bloggers and major Pinterest influencers. The collections are set to launch March 16th starting with Joy Cho (who has 13.6 million Pinterest followers) of the blog, Oh Joy.
Design Collab: Target and Pinterest Tastemakers
“We’re excited to see the launch of Target’s new design collaboration. Pinterest is a place where anyone can share the things they love and inspire others to go out and do things. Target’s latest line designed by everyday pinners is proof of that,” – a Pinterest spokesperson.
Target has been a proponent of Pinterest for a while, using top pins on it’s website as part of a product search when items are no longer available. Additionally, the retail stores often display labels to identify popular Pinterest items on the shelves. This new collaboration is such a fantastic concept – great designers developing popular products with the ability to share them with millions of Pinterest followers. In comparison, the designers Pinterest followers range from 2-13.6 million, while Target has less than 150,000 followers. In addition, party-planning is one of the most popular topics on Pinterest. Three designers were selected for the project: Joy Cho of OH Joy; Jan Halvarson ofPoppytalk and Kate Arends of Wit & Delight. Each line of party supplies will roll out in the coming months. Are you as thrilled as I am about this unique collaboration?
