I totally get it. This has been a harsh, long winter – and obviously it’s not over yet. Many of us are feeling the effects of the cold and snow – and getting stuck in a winter rut is totally normal. Staying in and watching movies is great, but when you veer too far off of your normal routine it’s easy to feel stuck, bored and even a little bummed out. Here’s the good news: with a few little changes (and a lot of will power!), we can get out of these winter ruts. Read on for my tips – let’s get out of this rut together.

- Try a week of juicing. (I know – it’s frigid outside!) Juice re-energizes, re-invigorates and completely changes up your whole diet. It’s just the jumpstart your body needs.
- Give yourself limited time with the T.V. Watching movies is great fun, but too much time on the couch leads to more time on the couch. Let yourself watch for an hour a day and otherwise, turn it off.
- Try a new exercise that you can do at home. There are so many great apps out there to incorporate free at-home training – you have no excuse!
- Host game nights with friends. Playing games can get the brain working, challenged in new ways and are a ton of fun. So, gather up your girls and get gaming.
- Take up a new hobby. I know, I know – this one is easier said than done – but why not now? Have you ever wanted to learn a new language or figure out how to knit? There’s no time like the winter….
