Even though a search is still ongoing for debris for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak just gave a press conference confirming that the plane went down in the southern Indian Ocean and that no one survived. While no details have been given on the analysis of this conclusion, it has apparently come from new satellite data by British satellite provider Inmarsat and the British Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
I am shocked that this announcement has been made even though no hard evidence has been found and they won’t give any more information on how they know that MH370 crashed “far from any possible landing sites.” It is also being reported that families of the victims found out about this confirmation via text message.
It is just awful and not right to inform people this way without any evidence of debris. If it really crashed into the Indian Ocean like they are reporting, then why was it going that direction and flying for seven hours? What do you think?
