One of my favorite quotes from Albert Einstein is ” do what I say, not what I do.” He explains that setting an example is not the main means of influencing another; it is the only means. If you really want to help others become successful, you can’t just tell them what to do; you must show them. If you want others to understand you and your business you must teach them how to do it. Words and e-mails will only get you so far, it is important to sit with the person and show them on you like things to be done. You will able to increase your influence if you lead by example.
To lead by example means you are willing to do the work, you are able to guide someone else and teach them the ropes. If you want results you must be able to get involved with your team in order to get results. if your team members never watch you at work how do you expect to influence them?
