Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, Chicago –This museum is a piece of American history as the country’s first Planetarium. Kids love to explore and even the little ones can marvel at what’s beyond with Big Bird in his One World, One Sky adventure. Perez Art Museum Miami

Perez Art Museum Miami – The PAMM is a spectacular museum showcasing world-renown modern art exhibits and installations. But it’s also focused on involving the city’s youth in the arts by way of their PAMM Teen Arts Council, open to all high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Younger children can also enjoy the museum for free every second Saturday with family-friendly guided tours and occasional guest artists and performers. The American Museum of Natural History, New York – This museum is a staple on the list of things to do and see in New York, mainly because it really offers something for everyone. This summer, catch their special Butterfly Conservatory exhibit, with  free-flying tropical butterflies from all around the world. Or experience science in a hands-on experience at the Discovery Room, open to families and geared to kids 5-12 years of age. And with all the giant dinosaur exhibits, kids are sure to be awed. The Smithsonian’s Discovery Theater, Washington , DC – This live theater geared towards children features classic stories and folktales told through puppet shows, dancers, musicians, and all sorts of performance art.
