As the rest of the country basks in the warm summer weather, those of us who call Miami home welcomed fashion’s best and brightest for the annual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, a colorful parade of the hottest swimwear and resort attire we can expect to see in 2015. Here’s a look ahead at what’s next in warm-weather looks, with a roundup of some of my favorites.
Beach Bunny: Beach Bunny played up the sexy hair and statement jewelry in bold metallics and daring cuts. They made a powerful statement with edgy looks for the confident woman.
We Are Handsome: Bold prints in tropical flavors took over the runway at We Are Handsome. The cutout shape on the watermelon two-piece gives the playful look a sexier flair. The mirrored print and black side panels one the one-piece make it a sophisticated alternative to the usual solid color.
Suboo – The feel at Suboo was of a powerful woman on a mission. There were sexy all-black looks along with some prints in subtle hues, but all were decidedly bold.
Liliana Montoya – This designer’s collection had a vacation-ready feel in bright colors and bold, tropical prints.
Luli Fama – These feminine hues and classic cuts were a hit at Luli Fama. Models in peachy pastels and tropical prints strutted confidently down the runway in very wearable looks.
Mara Hoffman – Bold as ever, Mara Hoffman Swim did not disappoint in bright, daring colors and exotic, worldly prints, both for swim and resort wear.
