With Internet Week coming to a close in New York City, there was no better way to end it than with the 15th annual Webby Awards. Geeks, gamers, celebrities, designers, developers and editors came together to celebrate as event described as the ‘Oscars’ of the Internet. The gala has become a ‘who’s who’ of both virtual and reality with guest list that included Vogue’s Ana Wintour, Entourage’s Adrian Grenier, Lisa Kudrow and Angry Birds. Vogue’s head fashionista Ana Wintour received a Webby award for best fashion web site. In keeping with the ceremony’s 5 word acceptance speech rule, the fashion maven said “sometimes geek can be chic.” Well said Ana!
