For today’s Fourth of July celebration, Macy’s hopes to turn its massive fireworks show into a birthday part for the Statue of Liberty, which was dedicated in New York Harbor 125 years ago. Beyonce is set to perform a couple of songs from her latest album “4,” for NBC’s national broadcast of the fireworks along with country singer Brad Paisley. The nation’s birthday extravaganza will be hosted by Nick Lachey from NBC’s “The Sing Off.” “There’s no place you’d rather be on the Fourth of July than New York City, right there for the fireworks, so I’m a lucky man,” Lachey said. “It’s the premier fireworks of the city.”
Nick Lachey is right! There’s no place I rather be on the Fourth of July than New York City. I can’t wait to watch the fireworks with friends and family from the Hudson.
Watch the fireworks live tonight at 8p.m on NBC
