I know the holidays and end of the year can be stressful, so I’m sharing these simple techniques you can turn to when you feel particularly overwhelmed or exhausted. Essential oils can really be transformative in just a few moments, so keep one or two of your favorites near you and bring them out to dab a few drops on whenever you most need it. And if you’re traveling and trapped in close quarters on a plane with too many strangers, dabbing a little under your nose can be instant aromatherapy. Enjoy!
5 Essential Oils for Stress
1. Lavender – Lowers stress, alleviates headaches, and reduces symptoms of depression. Apply to your temples, the inner elbow, your wrists, and behind your ears.
2. Eucalyptus – Clears the mind, reduces stress, and increases energy. If you’re feeling particularly drained, dab some behind your ears and on your wrists and inhale deeply to get the full effect of the energizing scent.

It’s vibrant fragrance will make you feel uplifted. Wear it on your wrists and collar bones, as you would your favorite perfume, to carry it with you throughout the day.
4. Rose – Alleviates stress and powerful during emotional times, particularly when grieving. Dab a bit under your nose, and if you have the time, draw a warm bath and pour in 20-30 drops for a truly relaxing experience. If you have some candlelight, then it’s really a spa-like moment.
