Many of us hesitate and tend to procrastinate when it comes to starting something new. We seem to over think, underestimate ourselves, and overestimate tomorrow. Benjamin Franklin once said ” One today is worth two tomorrows.” So why not start now? Hesitation will get you nowhere and procrastination will only make you the weaker link. Are you the type of person that is scared of taking risks? Are you afraid of failure because you feel your idea is too big?

4 Steps to Starting a Business
1. Create an execution plan. Once you have determine what you want to do it is important to figure out how to execute. Your execution map will be your road map towards your future. Start with small steps first then move on to the more challenging things on your plan.
2. Determine your priorities. Knowing what’s most important is critical for success. I’ve always say knock out the most important things on your list first and the rest of your day will be a piece of cake.
3. Learn everything about your business. It’s so important to know your business and anything that’s in between. For example if you want to launch a clothing line then take fashion design courses. If you want to launch an application then take some computer courses. Learning is key if you want to succeed especially when you are your own boss.
4. Pay your dues. There is no success without sacrifice. Know that if you want to succeed you might have to give up a few things.
5. Develop relationships. People lead to people and if you want to get ahead in life you will need people to help you along the way. Go out network, introduce yourself and your business to everyone you know word of mouth is still the most effective marketing tool.
