Today’s the day! It’s the official release date for my dear friend Jennifer Lopez’s new movie, The Boy Next Door. The thriller revolves around the complicated relationship that develops between a recently divorced woman (played by Lopez) and her younger lover (Ryan Guzman). The affair becomes dangerous when Guzman’s character becomes obsessed with Claire, the main character. This is definitely one you’ll want to line up for!
Jennifer not only stars in this movie, she also produced it, making it in 23 days with a budget of $4 million, which is considered a ‘microbudget’ when it comes to filmmaking. She told the Hollywood Reporter, “You know what, we put all four million dollars in front of the camera! We all shared one trailer, we had no craft service, it wasn’t that type of luxury movie set.” To read the full interview, click here.
