Goal setting is super important to get to where you want to go. JR and I wouldn’t be where we are right now without setting some goals of our own. Staying on task with those goals is another story. You get distracted. Something comes up, and you’re back to square one. So how do we stay motivated when there are so many distractions and things around us that are constantly vying for our attention? It’s hard, ladies. I won’t lie, but it can be done. It just takes some serious perseverance. Here are some ways to help you stay motivated in order to get things done. Once you’re done reading, ask yourself, what motivates you? Find A Good Reason- Find a good reason to stay motivated. Make sure it’s something that lights a fire under your butt in order to get things done! If you aren’t interested in your goals or what you’re doing, you’re going to have a hard time staying motivated, so make sure it’s something that’s worth your time and brainpower.
Make It Fun For Yourself- Again, if you don’t want to do it, you probably won’t get it done. Here’s how to combat that: make it fun for yourself! Play some music, plan with people who have similar goals. Go out and make it happen for yourself. Just make it something you enjoy.
Recognize And Accept Your Process- We all work at our own pace. Sometimes things come quickly to you, and sometimes you need to take your time to learn. That’s okay. You need to recognize where you are in the process of completing your goal. You need to know hen you’re right at the beginning and accept that there’s a long road ahead.
Enjoy The Journey- You aren’t going to get your goal done in the first ten seconds. It’s going to take a while to get to where you want to be. Once you accept this and concentrate on what you are doing now rather than where you “should” be, you’ll be gravy. Take your time. All will come when it needs to.
