All About the Magic of CoolSculpting

Hey, ladies! I’m going to get a little real today on this blog. I know it’s not a topic many women like to discuss publicly, but I know it’s a topic we definitely want to hear about because it affects many women. There comes a point in our daily care where diet and exercise aren’t enough to give you the results you want for your body. I know firsthand that, in my preparation leading up to MAIC, I’ve been extra careful with my diet, supremely faithful to my TLS Weight Loss products and supplements, and exercising on a regular basis. And still, there have been problem areas that remain just that – a problem.

All About the Magic of CoolScultping

Sadly, as women, after we hit a certain age, our bodies don’t react the same way they used to. Diets don’t work the same, exercising will only go so far, and self-confidence begins to drag a little when you look in the mirror and don’t see the results you’ve been working toward so diligently. Which is where CoolSculpting became a game-changer in my appearance. Read on for the details.

If I’m honest, I’ll be the first to admit that I really didn’t think CoolSculpting would work. It sounded too good to be true. There’s no surgery involved, it’s non-invasive, and virtually pain-free (although, I will admit I have a pretty high tolerance for pain). As many of you know from reading my blog, I don’t like to be put under unless it’s absolutely necessary (I had brain surgery a few years back and that kind of experience will make you think twice about unnecessary cutting!). So liposuction was never something I wanted to explore. But I knew I wanted to tackle those areas I wasn’t really happy with. Enter the Chelsea Eye and Cosmetic Surgery center in Manhattan. While it’s only been 3 weeks, the results from my CoolSculpting treatments with technician Rebecca Weston have been absolutely jaw-dropping (I’m down nearly two dress sizes!).

How it Works:

CoolSculpting by ZELTIQ is designed to help you get rid of fat in your belly or love handles, and even the upper thigh area. The non-invasive treatment freezes fat that does not respond to diet and exercise.

– Once the CoolSculpting device is applied to the area, cooling panels target fat cells only destroying 25% of them permanently.

– This is the only technology FDA approved for freezing fat (Cryolipolysis) and eliminating it from your body for good. The result is a noticeable reduction of about 25% of the fat bulge in the treated area.

– The first 10 seconds, you’ll feel very, very cold. The rest is a matter of adjusting to the sensation of the cool effects. On a scale of 1 – 10, I’d say discomfort is at about 3 or 4.

– In order to combat the soreness you’ll feel afterwards (not unlike a good workout), I recommend wearing a waist support belt to keep you feeling supported.

Things to Note:

– This isn’t a replacement for healthy diet and exercise. This is simply a process that refines and tackles those areas you just can’t seem to get rid of even if you work out often and give them your full attention.

– Results will not  be immediate. While each person is different and may react differently to the process, it will take on average 4-6 weeks to see full results. In my case, it took 3 weeks for the kinds of results that left even JR astonished. (You can’t beat that kind of reassurance! :))

– It’s really all about the technician you work with: If the person performing the procedure doesn’t sculpt you to the full extent, you’ll be missing out on the full effect. So be sure you’re attending a reputable location.

– Treatment prices vary, but on average, you’ll be investing about $1,500 per treatment.

– I can’t tell you enough about my technician, Rebecca Weston, who worked like an artist to leave me with incredible results (if you’re heading out to MAIC, you’ll get to see them firsthand, so you can tell me what you think!).

Dr. Eviatar tells all about CoolSculpting in more detail in the video below, where you can also watch the process:

If you’re anywhere near Manhattan, I highly recommend visiting the Chelsea Eye and Cosmetic Surgery center on West 19th Street in Chelsea (click here for their full address, or click here to schedule your visit). If you can work with Rebecca, you’re in for a serious treat. 🙂

If you’re not in the tri-state area, check out your local centers for CoolSculpting treatments. Thanks to their effectiveness, they’re gaining in reach and popularity throughout.

Thanks so much to Rebecca Weston, Dr. Eviatar, and the whole team at the Chelsea Eye and Cosmetic Surgery center. I am feeling extra fabulous thanks to all of you! xoxo
