It’s easy to pick out a problem area on our bodies. It’s easy to tell ourselves that our thighs aren’t perfect and that our arms jiggle too much. It’s just easier to hate our bodies for not being that unattainable perception of perfection that society tells us to be. Decades of adverts all over the globe say that our bodies shouldn’t have a single cellulite dimple on them and models on the runways tend to get skinnier. It’s time that we change this because it’s totally normal to be in the body you have. It’s time to let go of the hate, and let go of the perception! You’re beautiful just the way you are so love your body right now.
Let Go Of The Perception- We’ve almost been brainwashed by the media to think that the perfect body is a size 2 celebrity or model with a photo-shopped face. Yet, the truth is that there is no universal model of beauty. All those models and celebrities are beautiful in their own right but they’re also wearing pounds of make up and a pair of spanx to boot in order to fit that perception of the perfect body. In reality, we’re all just human! Besides, beauty fades and changes quickly so you might as well let go of what your body “should” look like and love it for what it is now!
Stop The Self-Hate- Stop judging your body for the bad things in your life. You ate a Snickers, you have a cellulite dimple. So what? You need to respect that your body is beautiful thing. Instead be grateful that it’s healthily and strong. Your body is leading you through the journey of life. Find those parts of your body that you love and accentuate them. Find the parts of your body that you love a little less make a conscious effort to love them.
Let Go Of That Goal Date- Life is happening now! That goal date is just in the way. Be grateful for your beautiful life and your beautiful body. Your size doesn’t matter, and neither does the number on the scale. You matter and so does your life so go enjoy it with gusto!
