8 New Ways To Use Vaseline

Petroleum jelly has been used for years and has plenty of purposes. I like to use it as a lip balm. Some women swear by its moisturizing properties and apply it under their eyes as a night cream. How do you use this $5 all-purpose beauty product? If you’re looking for some new beauty hacks check out some unexpected ways you can use Vaseline below. shutterstock_186738665

Tame Eyebrows- Instead of investing in a clear eyebrow gel, use Vaseline. Dip your favorite spooly brush into a tube of Vaseline and then brush it through your brows to keep them in place after you’ve powdered them.

Homemade Scrub- Add sugar or salt to petroleum jelly for a homemade scrub that’ll keep your skin super smooth.

Prevent Chaffing- Rather than investing in a pair of bike shorts, add Vaseline in between your thighs to prevent uncomfortable chaffing while wearing your favorite skirt.

Prevents Tattoos From Fading- Before heading out into the sun, apply Vaseline over your tattoo to prevent it from fading. They say that the sun is the #1 killer of tattoos, so be sure to keep it protected.

Loosens Eyelash Glue- After a night out, the last thing you want to do is get all teary eyed from taking off your lashes. Loosen the eyelash glue with Vaseline. Apply a little over your fake lashes, and wait a few minutes before taking them off.

Makeup Remover- Vaseline can be used as a makeup remover. Apply it to your eyes and mascara and then carefully wipe off with a soft towel.

Use As A Highlighter- Add Vaseline to the tops of your cheekbones for a glossy highlighter look.

Slick Stray Hairs- Make your ponytail look slick and sleek by taming those pesky fly away hairs with a little bit of Vaseline.
