It feels like the end of the world every time you get a zit, but there are easy and simple ways to help you get rid of acne before it starts. It’s all about being conscious and aware of how you treat your skin and body. Check out some ways you can prevent acne. Read them below and let me know what you think in the comments section.
Watch Your Phone- By this point, so many of us use text more than dialing a number and ringing someone up. You probably almost don’t need this tip, but maybe listen to it anyway. When talking on your phone, try to use your headphones or keep your phone away from your face. Keeping your cellphone close to your face is already dangerous. Did you know that your phone screen also carries a ton of bacteria that oftentimes gets transferred to your face when you use it? Try to think about this every time you dial and remember to reach for those headphones.
Wear Less Makeup- You’re skin basically eats everything that you put on it, which means every time you wear makeup, it’s absorbing those questionable chemicals into your body while also clogging your pores. My suggestion is to go for some makeup-less days. I try to wear makeup on weekends or for special events. If you have to wear pounds of makeup for work reasons, then aim for hypoallergenic products or makeup products made from natural ingredients. This way, your skin can feel fresh and breakout-free on a regular basis.
Change Your Pillowcase- This is something that I didn’t do for a long time. It’s probably something that a lot of people don’t do but our faces do a lot of time on those pillowcases. Not only do you rub your face all over it, but you also sweat and probably drag your face across it when you sleep. Change your pillowcase on a weekly basis. This totally hygienic and it will also help to keep your face clean and clear.
Stop Touching Your Face!- This may seem like a no-brainer to a lot of you out there, but touching your face is just another acne causing problem. Think about all the things your hands come across during the day. Now, imagine putting that stuff on your face. Gross, right? Make it a goal to keep your hands away from your face and soon you’ll see clearer skin.
