There are few things more difficult than ending a friendship. When you reach the end, it’s difficult not to have hard feelings towards those that you once felt so much love for. Constant Negativity- Having a Debbie Downer breathing down your back every second isn’t exactly ideal. Like attracts like so back when you were feeling negative, you attracted those negative friends. Now things have changed and you’re trying to stay positive but you have those people who are bringing you down. You know that they don’t mean to do this. Yet, the truth is you don’t need that negative energy in your life. It’s time you reevaluate those friendships.
The Scales Aren’t Balanced- You may be feeling like you’re giving all you got and not getting the same in return. We all go through difficult moments in life where we feel like we need a shoulder to cry on, but what happens when that shoulder you usually depend on isn’t around? If you’re dropping everything for your friend every time there’s a crisis and not getting the same from your friend, something might be off.
You Feel The Pressure- When I was younger, I had a friend who would pressure me into doing unsafe and unhealthy activities. At first, I had fun doing these things but when I realized that they were bad for me and wanted to stop, I still had this friend pressuring me. I came to realize this person was a toxic element in my life and I made the decision to let her go. If you have someone similar in your life, consider the pros and cons of keeping them in your life.
