If you haven’t seen the headlines about Chinese actress, Angela Yeung’s (also known as “Angelababy”) recent nuptials to actor Huang Xiaoming, you should run not walk to get a look at some of the photos. Completely over the top and utterly extravagant, this wedding cost a reported $31 milllion! From filling the Shanghai Exhibition Centre with roses to screens showing off the couple’s pre-wedding photo shoot in front of the Eiffel Tower, the 2,000 guest wedding cost nearly as much as Kate and Williams Royal Wedding just a few years ago.
A stunning pear-shaped diamond ring designed by Chaumet graced the bride’s finger and a Christian Dior custom-made gown with “115 feet of ivory satin organza, and 165 feet of tulle…a 10-foot-long train, and nearly 100 hand-cut rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace” (via Forbes) was the showstopper. According to Refinery 29, East Asia’s biggest celebs were in attendance and, “a 10-foot-tall, carousel-shaped wedding cake that reportedly took a month to assemble. Not lavish enough for you? There was also a holographic castle, extravagant gift bags containing cell phones, stained-glass-window lights, and a giant wall of flowers.”
