Caffeine is great. It wakes you up in the morning and keeps you focused on your tasks, that is, until you need another coffee boost. So, sure caffeine seems to work wonders, but it can also be addictive. When you rely on it, it can become a problem. When you take a break from caffeine, you need to figure out new ways to feel more awake in the morning. It’s more than just feeling awake; it’s about looking awake as well. Below are some caffeine free hacks to help you look and feel more awake. Wake up without the help of caffeine. It’s not as impossible as you think.
Feel Awake
Exercise- Exercise is always my go-to tip, and you’re probably getting sick of it, but seriously! Exercise helps us to feel more alert. It keeps everything working properly and wakes you up. Go for a quick jog or a yoga session. It could help make your morning feel way more focused.
Go Outside- When all those fluorescent lights and computer screens start to get to you, and you start feeling that midday slump, go for a walk! Enjoy a bit of fresh air and get some oxygen pumping through you. It’ll help you to enjoy your day.
Relax- It might sound a little strange, but meditating and relaxing before starting your day is a good way to help you feel awake. After you wake up, lean up against some pillows, take five minutes to enjoy a few quick breaths and get yourself in the right headspace.
Look Awake
Use a Spoon- Before you head to sleep at night, put a spoon in the fridge. When you wake up in the morning, and see that your under eyes are a bit puffy, grab that cold spoon. Carefully place your spoon over your eyelids and where you notice puffiness. The cold will help reduce that puffiness.
Drink Some Water- Drink a big glass of water in the morning. It will help to give you that glowing complexion you so deserve, while keeping your body in tip top shape. Drink up!
