Jessica Alba- The Honest Company started when actress Jessica Alba became a mother and realized that baby products contained questionable chemicals. Now, the company is starting it’s own makeup line promoted by Alba herself.

Jay-Z- Where do we start? Rocawear? Def Jam Records? Ring any bells? Jay-Z, who is well into his forties and still rapping has made it onto the list of Forbes “400 Richest People in America,” along with his many other accomplishments. It’s almost no surprise when he bought out Aspiro and turned it into Tidal, his subscription based music website that pays royalties to artists and songwriters, unlike other music streaming websites. Who knows what’s next for this rapping sensation?

Victoria Beckham- With a networth of $300 million, making the move from pop sensation to clothing designer was a good one for Victoria Beckham. The former Spice Girl turned business savvy entrepreneur, started her fashion label in 2007, which has now grown to become a fixture at New York Fashion Week. The label has gone beyond celebrity her association. It’s all about her amazing designs. Check out some of her designs, here.

Jessica Simpson- The actress and singer turned clothing designer made her big name even bigger by creating line after line of her amazing footwear. Her company, which has now expanded into handbags and clothing for women and juniors, is making $1 billion in revenues.

Reese Witherspoon- Reese Witherspoon became sick of the lack of opportunities for female actresses when she witnessed a group of talented actresses competing against each other for a role that was quite frankly, a weak character. She took things into her own hands and started the Pacific Standard with partner Bruna Papandrea to break away from the “boys club” Hollywood mentality. They produced box office successes such as Gone Girl and Wild, two films lead by strong females. On top of that, Witherspoon has got her clothing company, Draper James, which brings consumers classic styles with a Southern flair.
