3 Tricks to Help You Feel Sleepier at Bedtime
#1. Use Your Imagination- Your brain is pretty amazing, right? It basically controls everything, but one thing you need to know is that you can control it. Yup, tricking the mind into making you feel sleepier is all about mind over matter. Use some meditation techniques and imagine yourself in a calm and relaxing situation. Where’s your happy place? Put yourself right in the center of it. It’s all about calming the mind.
#2. Got Bright Lights?- Another way to make yourself feel sleepier is to darken your surroundings. My number one tip? Use a sleeping mask. If you’ve got too much light streaming into your bedroom at night, this thing will help remedy the situation. A sleeping mask cuts out all light, so your mind knows its bedtime.
#3. Focus on Your Breath- Calm your mind the best way you know how! Focus on your breath. Take a deep breath in and let it out. Focus on each breath, one at a time. Doesn’t reading this make you feel sleepy already? Focusing on your breath is a trick that uses a meditation technique to help you knock out quick.
