Wow! Couture shows are known for their extravagance when it comes to clothes, but what about locale? Karl Lagerfeld commissioned the interior of a luxury private jet to be built in the Grand Palais for the Chanel Spring 2012 Couture runway show on Tuesday during Paris Fashion Week. The inside of the aircraft was complete with an extra-wide aisle for the models to walk, swivel seating, and the iconic Chanel double C’s monogrammed into the carpet. Definitely a first for the fashion world but not out of character for the dramatic designer. What do you think of Karl transforming the Grand Palais into a private jet for the Chanel show?
